Hello Hans! What kind of "CF card / Avisaro" is it? Is it Ordernumber: M3248? Did you realize, that it is driven with 3.3 Volt? That means, "RS232"-Level is also 3.3 Volt! You wrote: Now the data is coming direct from the C-control M-Unit 2.0 PIN 52 instead of the IC RS232 and that works" It is a miracle, that the Avisario survived the mistreatment of sending +/-12 Volt into its logic of 0 / +3.3 Volt! I guess you need a level shifter to connect 5 Volt logic to 3.3 Volt logic... Also keep in mind, that a MAX232 not only shifts the Level (0...5 Volt to +12...-12 Volt) but also inverts the signal. That means: an idling Tx-pin has a level of +5 V (with 5 Volt logic), after the MAX2332 the idling level is -12 Volt! regards Tomtom |
